Key Center would like to thank Johanna Isani for her six years of service as our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Teacher.  Johanna will be retiring from Fairfax County Public Schools at the end of the month.  During her twenty five-year education career, she worked as a Special Education Teacher, a Local Screening Chairperson, and as an ESOL Itinerant Teacher.  Johanna's favorite thing about working at Key Center has been her interaction with teachers and students.  She has enjoyed being part of a team that offers so many opportunities for students and has been impressed with the commitment to doing what works best for each individual student.

Johanna has 3 grown children.  She has 5 grandchildren.  She has been involved with a local pet rescue group. Johanna has two of her own dogs, and three long term foster dogs who are searching for their perfect families  She recently welcomed a sixth dog to her home- this one a senior in need of hospice services.

In retirement, Johanna plans to continue her work with pet rescue.  She hopes to see more of her children and grandchildren, who live in New Jersey.  Johanna is also looking forward to visiting with her siblings.  She is hopeful that retirement will give her the opportunity to get her yard work caught up, and to do lots of reading.  Congratulations on your retirement, Johanna, you will be missed!
