As assistant principal at Key Center, Ms. Kaltenmark handles the unique challenges of working with students who have severe disabilities by being fully involved. She helps develop IEP goals, observes workshops, and administers medicine and tube feedings to students. She’s also there to assist parents whose kids are transitioning out of the school. Colleagues praise her empathy and eagerness to try new things, be it in her video public service announcements or during “Touch-base Tuesday” staff meetings which open with a pop song. “Ms. Kaltenmark is a constant presence in the building and the indispensable ringmaster of the show,” a coworker said. “I have never seen anyone effortlessly juggle so many balls.”

Congratulations also to Adapted Curriculum Teacher Elizabeth Silva who was recognized as an Outstanding Secondary Teacher School and Pyramid-level Recipient!

Thank you to Nicole Bracken for all of her hard work with the nomination process by serving as this year's awards liaison.
