Betsy has been a special educator in Fairfax County Public Schools for 27 years. She worked as a teacher of students with learning disabilities, emotional disabilities, and autism prior to becoming an Assistive Technology Coach. Betsy has been the Assistive Technology Coach at Key Center School for the last 10 years.

Betsy’s favorite thing about Key Center is working with the students and staff! She loves getting to know the unique needs of each students and matching technology to meet those needs. Betsy especially loves collaborating with staff and problem solving to ensure all students can access learning.

When not at work, Betsy enjoys reading, walking her dog, and watching

football on TV. (Go Bills!). She has also recently taken up pickleball.

Betsy and her husband have a son who is a senior in college and a daughter in optometry school. They have a 5-year-old black lab mix named Ellie.
