Patti and her husband, Alan

Patti is our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teacher.  This is her first year at Key Center.  Patti began her teaching career in Prince George's County in 1999.  She worked as a Talented and Gifted Science Teacher. A year later she began employment with Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) as a 5th grade teacher.  In 2006, she completed a Masters program in Curriculum/Instruction in Multilingual/Multicultural Education with a certificate in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). She then worked as an ESOL teacher in various FCPS programs/schools.  We were lucky to have her join us mid-year this school year when our prior ESOL teacher retired.  When asked about her experience at Key Center, Patti responded that this is the most welcoming and kind school in which she has worked. She appreciates the highly specialized knowledge and level of care that the staff demonstrate.
