A Common Thread

Stitching together language skills, relationships, and quilts

A Common Thread is the name we have given to our quilting club.  Started two years ago by SLP Aimee Rand, the students work with her to stitch together rows of quilt blocks/shapes.  This activity builds language skills, switch skills and self esteem.

Once the quilts are completed, the PTA raffles them off and the funds go to purchasing things on the Key Center Wish List.

We are currently raising money for a wheelchair accessible swing.

Visit the photo gallery to see all the beautiful quilts our students have created together with Ms. Aimee!  Keep a look out for news of our next quilting adventure.
