Ms. Hacker, Ms. Brosnan, Ms. Huynh, and Ms. Ganley Also Recognized at FCPS Honors!
Congratulations to Principal Ann Smith who was recognized as the FCPS 2022 Region 3 Outstanding Principal and one of the five finalists for the FCPS Outstanding Principal at this year's FCPS Honors event, held at George Mason University Center for the Arts on June 8th.
Ann is a selfless, optimistic, pragmatic leader who focuses on supporting all stakeholders in her school community. As the assistant principal and now principal of Key Center School, Ann has always supported her staff, leading them to resourcefully teach adapted curriculum content while managing behavioral and medical needs. Her leadership encourages a safe, caring, engaging, and meaningful educational environment. Ann is a hands-on leader who relies on her training to personally assist during behavioral crisis events and during medical emergencies. Two parent accolades include: “As the school's main cheerleader, Ann encourages and supports students in achievement of individualized goals.” and “It has always been clear to me that Ann drives the environment at this place that we love.”
Congratulations also to our other Key Center staff members recognized at FCPS Honors!
