Staff Spotlight- Lou Ganssle
Lou started her career working as a physical therapist in the hospital setting. She moved into the school system in 1980 and worked at Key Center throughout the early 1980s. In 1990, Lou spent ten years as a stay-at-home mom. When she returned to employment with FCPS, she worked at Kilmer Center. In 2013, she returned to Key Center as our physical therapist and has been with us since that time. Lou says that she has seen lots of changes in the FCPS Physical Therapy program since she began employment 43 years ago!
Lou says that the friendly and collaborative staff makes Key Center a great place to work. She notes that the staff acts as a team and everyone helps out in any way that is needed.
When not working, Lou spends time with her family and friends. She enjoys a variety of outdoor activities such as: going to the beach, playing tennis, walking, and kayaking.
Lou has four children who are all grown and married. She has three grandchildren- two girls and one boy . Two more grandchildren are expected this month! Lou and her husband have been married for 38 years and raised their family in Fairfax Station.
