Music Therapy

All Key Center students participate in music activities under the direction of our music therapist.

Through the music therapy program, students may address:

  • Social skills: Music therapy can help people practice social skills like listening, sharing, and turn taking. 
  • Motor skills: Music therapy can help people improve their fine and gross motor skills. 
  • Speech and communication: Music therapy can help people improve their speech and verbal communication. 
  • Emotional expression: Music therapy can help people express their feelings and process their emotions. 
  • Quality of life: Music therapy can help people improve their quality of life. 
  • Pro-social skills: Music therapy can help people practice pro-social skills. 
  • Exercise: Music therapy can help people support movement and exercise.
